There are times that I am about to burst due to extreme stress and would want to disappear for a day. I realized that life is not just about waking up early and going to work. So, I decided to use both virtues of work and rest but will not overlook neither. We all need that one day to reflect and obtain a calm mind to face all the challenges ahead of us.
I and my travel buddy Jhai were quite lazy to go to a very far place to relax and wanted to enjoy somewhere at a cheaper price. Since we are currently working in Lapu-Lapu City, Cebu we tried to go to a nearer place (somehow) and we found out that Mountain View Nature's Park is just 24.5km away from our place. We started traveling via jeepney from MEPZ1 to SM City Cebu route at 7:30 AM and arrived at 9AM. We took another jeepney from SM City to JY Square, Lahug and arrived there at 9:30 AM. We immediately went in front of Lahug Supermarket to take a jeepney going to Mountain View Nature's Park intersection. Just a piece of advice, if you aren't sure about how much will be the fare, do not ask the driver. Some of them might actually take the advantage to offer a higher price knowing you're not familiar with the place so instead, ask another passenger (lesson learned). Normally, it will only cost you 10 pesos per head. To spend cheaper, we decided to ride jeepneys rather than hiring a "habal-habal driver" that would possibly cost you more than 100 pesos per head. I will just tally all the expenses including all the fares at the bottom of this blog so don't worry :) We arrived in Mountain View Intersection at 9:30AM and walked for few minutes uphill. Yes! we needed the exercise though. Finally, we arrived at our destination and took pictures of their welcome statue :)

1, 2, 3.. pose :)

Jhai's pose with the Olive Oil-looking statue.. haha! :)

So now, we're going inside :)
The entrance fee was 50 pesos per person and it wasn't costly than I thought :D

Our picture at the entrance booth..

A cutie rabbit welcomed us :)

Dramatic pose.. :)

We were instructed to walk for few minutes before arriving at the swimming pool and yes, another inclined road but we were just enjoying the moment. Although the weather wasn't that good, we were still laughing, we shouted at the top of our lungs and of course, we took some pictures!

The entrance fee was 100 pesos per head and we also spent 200 pesos for the nipa hut cottage ('twas good for 4 pax). Please don't forget to check their swimming pool guidelines.

While we were walking at the hallway, we found a"kalaw" bird, a cute monkey and a huge snake (wasn't able to take a pic of it) inside the cages.

I got really really excited when I saw the swimming pool. I wanted to jump right away but I still need to change my clothes hehehe..

The Nipa Hut Cottage :)

So this is what it looks like :) Even though the weather wasn't that good, the view was still refreshing. There were several fountains in some corners of the pool but they did not turn it on since there were no customers yet. We were the only people who came in first so we took the opportunity to pose and play :) :) :)

I am the Bride of Habaek HAHA!

The ballerina pose :D

At this view, you will supposedly see the whole City of Cebu but unfortunately, there were fogs everywhere.

I didn't feel this calm for a long time and I still thank God for His wonderful creation :)

It's babath time :D I was thinking of asking the Goblin to change the weather. Was he really that sad? :p

We brought a waterproof bag and put all our valuables inside. We placed it in a corner of the swimming pool so we won't be worried watching over our important things in a very far distance while swimming..

No matter what I do, the fountain won't start :D

We had our lunch at the cottage and there was no corkage fee. We just brought a liter of water, chocolates, candies, cookies, junk foods, rice, canned sardines and canned tuna to save money :)

After swimming, we decided to go to the rope course and the staff said we can walk our way up by taking the 420 step stairs. My calf muscles were really really tired probably because I'm overweight (LOL).

So here we go :) Welcome to the Rope Course Adventure!

Follow the Map :)

Entrance: 150 pesos/person. Do not forget to read the Rules, okay?

I was so excited even though the heights made me so anxious. Unfortunately, it rained so hard before we got here and everything looked so slippery so we did not take the risk. You know, safety first.. So we just roamed around and enjoyed the view. The course was actually scarier in person and exceeded my expectation :)
The experience I had in Mountain View Nature's Park was fun even though the weather wasn't that nice to us, yeah, bad timing :) It was great to be in touched with nature once in a while and I highly recommend this place if you need to relax and regain a peaceful mind. We left the place at 4PM and headed to Temple of Leah to have a tour. The place will also give you a new taste of art and love. I will just tackle it in a different blog post, so chill :) These places are just very close to each other and you can just take few steps to reach them. We left the temple at 6:30PM and walked down to Mt. View Intersection to ride the jeepney but we waited for 30 minutes long and nothing happened. Someone told us that jeepneys aren't available when it's already dark so we decided to take the "habal-habal".I also wanted to go to Sirao garden but I heard that flowers there will bloom on April to May, so I'll just go there next time. The whole experience was great and the best part was, I only spent less than 400 pesos for the entire day. See the expenses below :)
